Is there any way to at least make it more likely for a hen to go broody? How about keeping a hen that is already broody- broody longer? Thanks.

I don't know how you would get a hen to go broody. I guess I've been lucky with that. Out of my first batch of hens I had a BO, named Evelina go broody pretty quick. Now she goes broody at the drop of a hat. I just had a second hen go brood last week, and then Evelina went broody again!! So, now I have two trying to sit on eggs...if you want them to stay broody, I have found leaving 'fake eggs' under them works and just let it take its course. I have certainly seen a lot of info on how to get them to stop but not so much on keeping them that way. My girls seem to give up after about three weeks of no chick sucess.
