Hi, my babies are now...almost two weeks old, temps outside are ranging in mid 50's to 60's....when can I take them out for a quick trip??? Just to let them out of thier brooder for a bit??? I don't have a barn or anything else, but I know my other babies loved to go out, just can't remember when we went out for our short intros to outside....can someone give me some input?? I know they are babies, and don't want to take a chance in them getting cold, but wouldn't momma hen have them out in the sun???? Thanks in advance!!!

They're old enough to go out a bit if the sun's out and it's that warm. We put ours out in the tractor around that age, with momma.

Well, we ventured outside for a bit, the chicks loved it, however we didn't stay to long, once they stopped running around, and kinda started to huddle, we came back inside, but all are almost like whistling now..(gosh I love it) they sound so happy....I sure love my chicks!! We will continue to go out for walks as the weather allows, and as my babies grow!!!!
