Hey guys, in about 10 days I have a poultry show, and I have some Cornish X birds I'm entering. I want to make sure that they are clean, and really white for the show. ( never done broilers before, so hoping they turn out
) They are not super big birds ( although i wished they would be ) but they are pretty good sized. My question is, what can I use to get them super white, and clean? I know that I have to clean them 3 days before show to make sure the oils come back to there feathers. How do I keep them clean before fair? Also, if there are any tips tricks, or secrets that you all do to ensure that they are getting enough protein, fat, etc I would loe to hear them! I weighed them a couple days ago, and the largest one is 7.6 lbs. and the smallest is 6.6- 6.9 ( I forget) lbs.
Thanks so much!
