getting chicks from tsc

I am thinking about getting some bantam chicks from tsc next week. I am wondering if there is any way to tell by looking at them what gender they are. I dont need any more roosters. is it true that the darker colored chicks are female?

I use the old wives tale way, roll them on their backs and if they fight to flip over it is a cockrell, if it just lays there calm, pullet.

Has worked for me so far.
