I have a small flock of Golden Comets. The first started laying last week - yay!
It looks like one of her sisters is getting ready to start laying. She's starting to squat. But she's also getting cranky - she's pecked me and bit me in the past two days.
The others only bite me if they accidentally bite my finger instead of the treat I'm offering. But Caramel bit me because she was mad I was shooing her into the run this morning. She pecked me yesterday for about the same reason.
Is this chicken PMS, or is she just a cranky chicken?
