Hi! I ordered 2 pilgrim and 2 African geese that should be here on the 1st of April. How big does the door need to be so they can get in to the coop without having to duck? How many square feet should the coop be if they free range all day? Any coop blueprints or pics? Also is there anything I need to know? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I would say that a two foot tall door would be sufficient. For four geese, the coup should be at least 8 ft by 8 ft. Don't put them outside until they are about 6 weeks old.

Here is a page that should prove to be more helpful than me.

You will love them. When ours were little we let them have a little time outside on nice days. We made a little pen out of chicken wire. It was fun to watch them. We never left them out unattended though until they were feathered out. They grow really fast. Here is a picture of Frankie with the minions from last spring. He was teaching them bad habits.
