Getting into quail

I am getting into keeping quail. I just purchased 100 jumbo northern bobwhite quail eggs. Is this a good breed to start out with?

Depends... If you want pets bobwhites are very skittish. Meat stock? Yep. They are good though they take longer to mature. Coturnix are very good starter quails. They are easy to tame, mature in 8 weeks as compared to 15 or so weeks for bobwhites. It really depends on what your end goals are for the quail.
