Maybe you could give me some information on the easiest way to raise redworms. Just for a hobby for fishing bait.

1. saw a 55gal. plastic drum in half.Use one half.Make a frame for it,or lay it on top of two 2x4's so that its cradled between them, but off the ground.
2. buy two bags of topsoil from Lowes(1.29ea.) and dump into drum.
3. shred those old bills in the file cabinet using a shredder. Then dump those bills on the dirt.
4. get gobs of chicken goo and dump on top of the shredded paper.(teach them bills a lesson!)
5. add worms( you can buy them at flukers farms,or any worm seller)
6. get a sheet of glass that will fit the top of the drum.it must cover over all edges. This is your roof.
7. wait.........

I got ones about 6-8" long at times.

have fun.Im tired of it.To me it didnt make a profit, and no profit means no money means a loss in my books.

My chicken wiped her beak for an hour after snatching my pet silkworm from me as a kid.

my chickens have razor sharp teeth like sharks.Mice, snakes and other vermin be darned!

What are the soldier flies used for? Aren't those the big, oversized, black housefly looking things with dark red eyes? Are they used for bait?

I tried raising mealworms but their poo dust hurt my lungs. Even with a mask I still inhaled that crap(literally).

I got my stuff over at this place.Check them out:

I liked the waxworms even though they did not last long. I got not get them to grow. The maggots were gross but I got them once.

I think the hissing roaches are cool. I would buy those.Would be good for school classroom lessons.

I have red wigglers in bins in my laundry room. I need to harvest the poo soil. That is a pain.
