Getting quail this week! Any tips?

I am going to be getting seven 4-6 week old Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail on Wednesday or Thursday. Does anyone have any tips? I have done a TON of research, but it is always good to hear other opinions. Thanks in advance!

Good deal. Quail are pretty cool animals. I have 2 dozens hens that are 8 weeks old and I'm getting 9 eggs a day and every day or two another one starts laying.

How will you be housing them?

I built a coop that is 4 by 5 feet, and the floor and walls are covered in 1/2 inch hardware cloth. There is also dirt on the floor over the hardware cloth to stop the quails from hurting their feet. The roof is corrugated tin roofing.

the male quails will fight and attack each other. there may be certain birds who don't like the others. they all have their own personality. you probably already know that they can fly a lot better than chickens (some are good enough flyers to fly over a highway/road/fence.) they love bugs and kale and digging in dirt/play sand. sometimes if it's sunny they will stretch out and sunbathe. they're super cute

Know if what they are drinking from is the same kind of waterer they are used to. Know too that quail can overheat and may not drink enough if their water is too warm.

I am going to be feeding them Nutrena 20% protein Gamebird Feed and supplement with dried mealworms for extra protein. I am also going to give them grit with high calcium. Is there anything I should do differently for feeding?

Be aware that mealworms are also high in fat, so don't go overboard on them.
