getting ready for showing next year?

hi i really want to show my silkie rooster who is about 5 mo. old and does not have a comb yet but is a rooster. my mom does not want to show. is there shows that are free? one night?and about that one blood test how much does that cost? please i also have a cochin can i have all the info on showing those to 2 breeds please i really wanna get my mom to show

Many shows are on saturdays, usually start about 9 in the morning and end around 3 in the afternoon . To enter one bird in the regular show is about $2.50, in the junior $2.00. P/T testing is free in texas, but I'm not sure where you live. You can go to the cochin thread, there are many knowledgeable people there.
