Getting Ready to Incubate Shipped Khaki Campbell Duck Eggs

I have just received 15 shipped Khaki Campbell duck eggs and I am going to incubate them. This will be my first time with duck eggs. I understand I need to put them in an egg carton small end down for at least 24 hours afterwich they go in the incubator small end down. I have heard not to use the automatic turned for the first three days. Is that correct?

Should temperature be kept at 99?

Also not sure about humidity. I have heard 35 to 40 percent humidity for the first 25 days and then increase to 70% humidity. But then I have also heard 50% humidity for the first 25 days then increase to 70% on lockdown.

I have also read that they need to be misted twice a day. Can anyone share their thoughts on that? This is my first duck hatch and I really want to give them the best possible chance of hatching.

I think you should use the automatic turner since day 1 and stop take it out 3 days before due date. Temperature is 99.5 F, If you have the little giant incubators, the thermometor has a darker line for the 99.5. My recomendation use another thermometer to compare temperatures. Humidity should be between 50-55% and if you have a incubator that has trails in the bottom in the foam, then I think you shouldnt mist them, at least I had never heard of doing that, just put water in the trails to control humidity. This one is for muscovy but you can use some of the tips, try to find more info for kampbels, Im pretty sure people in the forum with more experience will help you as the time progress and questions arises.
