24 weeks isnt bad for pullets my girls layed at 26 weeks so if they are girls eggs are coming and its really late crowing so im def saying pullets

Sorry, I might not have made my post clear. I think it is late developing for saddle feathers - all of my boys have produced saddle feathers long before 6 months of age - like Verlaj's roo. I have had late crowers. I oh-so held out hope for a pullet, ignoring the beautiful saddle feathers until I hear that heart breaking croak of a first crow.

thanks i understand it better now i thought you were talking about just crowing and eggs. i didnt even think about the saddle or hackle feathers.

Looks like some saddle feathers but nothing wrong with denial..until it crows it can lay an egg

Roos don't always fight. We have 8 living together fine. They do the macho man see my chest hear my crow at each other then walk away..and not all roosters crow here..most of mine have never said a word even those a year old and older...the King rules and all others bow...they don't even bother to puff up.
