Any advice?

I'm looking to begin raising a rare breed. Not sure which one yet. But I'd like some suggestions on how to begin, where to look for my stock.

I'm thinking of Chantecler since I'm in Canada, but I'm not sure?

Any tips/suggestions?

Keep intensive records with photos.

Start with great stock. Be prepared to start over if necessary.

Don't do it alone, mentors within the breed are invaluable.

Hmm ... who are the breeders on this forum? And can they weight in? How/where should I find stock in Ontario.
