Since the girls are now in their tractor full time we've been able to watch them run around and act like chickens. Last night my son asked if I needed to get them back into the coup. It was still a bit early bu I've been under the weather and still had a lot of outside work to get finished so I told him to see if he could coax them up with some rice crispy cereal. He brought a cup out and opened the side door of the coup (It is elevated above the ground to give them more room to run around) and called to them and dropped some of the cereal on the floor. They, including the ones outside, pretty much charged him to get some of the cereal. He had to wrangle one out of the run but the rest did what they were asked. It is amazing how friendly that they're getting to be.

Ahh, how cute! I bet they'll really bond with your little boy! Our son is 8, and everyday.. rain or shine he goes out there with "his" chickens! They like everyone in the family, but they're parcile to our little boy. I can be out there in their yard and if he walks in, they flock to him like he's a rock star or something!
