Congratulations!!! What type of hens do you have? And how old are they? Those eggs are pretty!! We have tried to use an Easter egg but they kept on moving the egg all around the coop and we still don't have any eggs!

We got them from Tractor Supply back in September. We were told they were all were Rhode Island Reds, but a few dont look like itView attachment 1648642 View attachment 1648641
SO cute!!! The darker ones are RIR's but the lighter ones aren't I was just talking to Meyer Hatchery to figure out on of my chicken breeds and learned that RIR's are darker I would try and figure out the other breed!!! My coop does not look that nice anymore!! We have so much snow I can't clean it out until it's warm enough!! Luckily they are sheltered so no snow got in the coop!!! Love your chickens!!!

Thanks :) I am attempting to figure out the other breeds, i thought maybe the light colored hen was an Easter Egger but idk. I will start incubating their eggs in the spring, so hopefully i can find out the breeds before then. But thankfully the winter here in South Dakota hasn't been too bad, but they have two coops, the summer one where they lay all the eggs and an all weather one.

That is smart to have 2 coops! I found out a hen that I thought was a RIR was a New Hampshire Red and when she was little we thought that she was an EE too. But she is too light to be a RIR and yours look pretty similar to her! You might want to check them out! When I eventually get out to my coop today I will try to get a pic of the NHR, EE's and my RIR and maybe that will help you! I don't know when I can get out though ecaseu it's a mile away from where I live and I have to walk trough a lot of snow but I will try to send you a pic!!
