Getting your flock tested???

Ok, so im kinda new to this chicken swap and sell idea, but i was reading bout a swap and they said you "needed to have your flock tested"...im lost here....what are they talking about?

Any birds you bring to the swap need to be tested for AI and Pullorium/Typhoid. Some places have State testers there at the swap to test your birds.

Does it cost and is it the same in every state? Is this what is required to sell to 4-H ers
