Meet Curly (black) and Annie (buff), gifts from a neighbor and friend. They were named this morning by grandson after friend brought them to us and told him they were not named. These are our first! Hubby, SIL and grandsons, with little help from me) finished run yesterday. Had waited 3 weeks for wire to get to hardware store, but it was $30 roll cheaper than big stores wanted. (poultry mesh for top of run). Curly's just a scratching in the leaves and little bit of grass under that big oak tree. Annie's a little more laid back and a little quieter.
Gonna have to watch our female Airedale closely. Male is like . . so what, chicken. Female is like . . . Chicken! Tastes like chicken!
Run is 14x26. Coop is 8x12 with 4 nests boxes and hay on floor now and a homemade feeder hubby made from directions found here.
They are so cute! My first chickens . . . except for a white one at Easter when a child.
