Ginger doesn't act like a rooster!

I have a 4mo silkie rooster who is DEFINITELY male. The rooster who's a month younger has already started crowing and becoming interested in the girls.
My other silkie roosters (they are gone now) crowed at 15-20 weeks.
Ginger has NO INTEREST in anything "rooster".
He doesn't crow or have any interest in the girls. He doesn't stand or act like a roo at all.
My younger boy is leaving in a week so I'll see if Ginger crows after that.
Ging has a few "issues" (they don't really stand in the way of his life at all). He's partly blind and he walks with his legs further apart.

4mo is quite young still. Give him more time. I had a rooster that didn't crow til he was well past 6 months.

The other roo (Darwin) started crowing though and he's around a month younger

He did get really mad (well it was just a chase n' peck) when Darwin tried with Ginger's girl (Raven) but Ginger doesn't even mate her, just is always with her

Yeah right. Are you sure he’s not a she? (I know you said he’s definitely a roo just had to say it!)

Ginger has started mating (or should I say trying to mate) Raven now, but still no crowing!

Count yourself lucky. Many would love to have a non crowing rooster/cockerel.

Red combs are not always ready to crow in silkie .. I have one sure male that still has not even gurgled at 6 months
