Anybody else with Ginger reds? Well here is mine, his name is Chepa, he is going to be 3 years this may but he look still young cx, hopefully you all share pictures and stories of your Ginger reds :)

I don't have a ginger red myself but my friend had one for the longest time at the 4-H shows. He was name Humphrey and she retired his showmanship career at age 7. (I think he's nine now) He looked a lot like yours but he was dubbed.

That sounds really old for a chicken :D i hope he is doing ok :) do you have any picture of him, i believe theres not too many chickens of this specific breed and color.
 
This is an ancient thread but I’ll reply for those who might be researching ginger reds with a brief personal experience.
I purchased a set of OEG bantams from cackle summer 2019. Spangled, crele, and ginger reds. I must say the ginger reds proved to be the most curious and friendly of all the variants. They would come to the front of the brooder to investigate my hand without fear. Today I have a hen from the bunch that I literally cannot keep off me. She will fly up to my arm or shoulder repeatedly. They are a beautiful and enjoyable bird. I have never had a shipping loss with cackle and the birds from them have always met or exceeded my expectations.
