We got these beautiful chicks last May, and though they are large birds, they haven’t layed an egg.
We only let them free range every other day, so would think we would be getting a couple eggs in the nest on off days even if they have a hidden nest somewhere.

This is them a couple weeks ago, at about 6 months.
They are RI Blues. 6 of them.
Healthy and well fed and there are 2 older hens in the same coop and we get 1-2 eggs every day, a white and a brown egg , and these are supposed to lay brown.

Just takes time, I have several 24 week olds (brahmas, jersey giants, couple EEs) who have yet to lay as well. Even have a 32 week old frizzle who is only just now getting a red comb. You just can't rush them.

With days getting shorter they may not lay till spring. I'm not expecting eggs from my brahmas till then either but you never know with pullets.

Need to view their other ends(combs) to make a guess. :D
But, you might try this:

Will get a better picture next time I’m home, of the front this time. 😉
I’m in North/ Central Florida so , other than the hurriquakes, the weather is almost perfect now temperatures wise. Our daily egg collection has gone from 30-35 a day to 48-55 average for 120 hens. 8-12 of the hens are over 2.5 years old and we do have some low egg breeds( Cemani and Pollish) so could just be stubbornness keeping them from laying. We have them separate to keep the Roosters away from them as much as possible, and there are 8 pullets (4 months old) and 2 young Guinnea hens in the coop with 2 older hens.
