Nobody near my town has eggs nor chicks currently so I'm forced to order eggs from a NPIP person online. We currently have 2 broody hens so I'm getting enough to split between them.
I even checked Wilco but they don't have the breeds I want and there's a reason why I'm looking for specific breeds.
Anyways

Has anyone had experience giving a broody hen shipped eggs??
Can I give the eggs to the hens right away after they arrive or do I wait a few hours??

Hey let them sit at least 24 hours gives them a chance to recover I would give here eggs now even if not fertile get her primed .. When the sipped eggs get there, after they set replace the eggs quietly

let the shipped eggs sit 24 hours then take the store bought out replacing the shipped eggs I am going to do this with my silkie I bought eggs they will be here about August 4th

Maybe you should check the store brought eggs to see if they are developing before you toss them, You never know🤔

Considering that store bought eggs are already many weeks old by the time they're put in the store to be sold, there's no way they'd develop. Plus they bleach the eggs.
