Giving chickens a bath?

Can anyone tell me the best way to bathe a chicken? I'd like to know in case I decide to start showing my little silkies. The idea is a little taunting.

I NEVER thought I'd even consider giving a chicken a bath.....

Yes you can bathe a chicken...I've done it to my two when we've been going to the petshop or to a Chickenstock.
I usually do this in the bathroom, in the bathtub.
First use the sprayer attachment and wet the bird to the skin.
Use shampoo and lather the bird up.
Rinse well.
Towel off, then blow dry on cool.
Give bird treat.
For showing you should probably wash the bird a few days before the show so that the natural oils can come back.
