I'll be leaving in a few hours to pick up a few Golden Laced Wyandottes that my local feed and seed is getting today. Are there any tips you can give me to better my pullet average like when choosing Barred Rocks? Thanks.

There's no way to get the same odds as you would with a Barred Rock. They are a sex linked breed, which means the can be sexed by their down as chicks. GLW do not posses that quality.

If they're older birds, choose the ones with smaller combs that don't have any color and have the best lacing. If they're just little babies, cross your fingers and pick who you like the best.
