I love how smart my new Sapphire Gems are. We have kept them in Isolation for over 4 weeks. Then they went to the large chicken coop and are let out, under supervision, several times a day. After a couple of days, they have learned that when I tell them to go back to bed, they have to go back in the coop. Today, I let them out for the last time in the afternoon and I wanted them back in the coop. I said: OK chickies, go to bed. And they all ran/flew back to the coop and in they went. Later on, when it was almost dark, they were all roosting on the outside roost in the coop. I wanted them on the inside roost in their “bedroom”. I said again: “OK, go to bed” and pointed at the door of their “bedroom”. One after another, they all marched from their outside roost straight onto their inside roost. I was stunned. Never thought they would learn so well. I’m impressed.
Wow I wish my chickens did that!!! It takes FOREVER to round them up!!!
