We have a goat that seems to be experiencing a mineral deficiency; I expect copper!! We are on well water, and I know it's iron rich - which competes with copper. I do not believe it's any external parasites, as I have delt with this before and it's not similar (but please, correct me if im wrong! ) I know that can be susceptible to when copper deficient.
We have been without loose minerals for a bit (rural) so I plan to make sure we get some asap! He is a wether, around 2.5-3 years

and gets plenty of forage - hay - no grain - and I just copper bolused (does anyone copper every few months? I read that if you have iron rich water sometimes it's okay to do so) he's roughly 50lbs

I would still treat for external parasites. Hopefully you can find a good goat mineral. I believe tractor supply carries some, and in the Midwest Fleet farm has it too.

Years ago before actual goat mineral we just gave ours a cattle mineral block and they did fine. Our water is full of iron too, but we filter most of it out. I know every goat is different.
