I'm looking at getting my first dairy goats, and been talking with a potential seller. He sent me pics of two does, both currently dry. The lower hanging one has kidded twice. Other is a FF. I'm pretty sure the 2F has poor attachment, but only reference pics I can find are when the doe is in milk. If you were adding to your herd, would you consider either of these girls?

Although I had goats for many years, I was never good at evaluating a dry udder. All of my goats had decent udders so I didn't have to. These does look like they have decent udders to me but that might not mean much. What do you want these goats for? Family milk supply? Show?

I am no expert with electronic devices but if you want, PM me. I can then send you my email address. If you email me the pictures I can forward them to a friend who was a linear appraiser for many years and ask her what she thinks.

Family dairy production. He says he's only had 2 goats in milk at any given time, and they combined to produce around a gallon a day, which I know is low for alpines but is probably enough for us to start with and I can always breed them to bucks from better lines if I'm finding I want to increase production.
