Do your home work. We have had goats for years. They require a lot of health care and maintenance.
They are worth the efforts though.
Hoof trimming, vaccinations, wet season illnesses, diet consistencies, bloat prevention, urinary calculi in males.. on and on.
They require 10 times the care that chickens need.
We had over 25 at one time, now down to a comfortable 13. They will need more than grass and weeds to keep them healthy. Quality hay and convention grains will be needed as well.
Goats HATE rain. Your pallet shelter will need a good rain proof roof.
Good luck with your new adventure.
