Hello Everyone,
I found this website quite by accident and decided to join. I had chickens several years ago and decided they weren't my thing. This Spring when my neighbor let his Rio Grande turkeys loose and they came to visit, I was hooked. I work at a feed store so decided to order some when I put in my weekly chick order. My first set of 4 came in, I kept them in the house for about a week and then put them outside into the coop that my husband built. They did fine the first night and day, and then they decided to go exploring. The poultry wire my husband used was 2" therefore the little guys could get out, and they did. So the following day at work I ordered a 2nd batch. They are still in the house and don't plan on moving them for a couple more weeks. I did put smaller wire around the coop, so when they do finally go out there will be no escaping. I guess live and learn. Anyway that is my story so far. I am looking forward to chatting with everyone and maybe learning a thing or two...
