Hi I'm going away for three days and I have no one to take care of my chickens while I'm gone. Is there a feeder that makes it so my chickens can get food and a water thing that I can use so they will have water. I only will be gone for three days.

Just figure out how much food and water they need per day and multiply that by 3 or so. A chicken can go a day without food but they need water every day. Make sure any extra water containers are high enough they don't scratch crap into them and then won't drink from them.

Small 1 1/2 quart plastic buckets make nice debris free waterers but they can only reach the top half.

See the thread about the cheap 5 gallon bucket feeder. The author also describes a waterer. I built both. My 6 chicks could go about 2 weeks without tending. I would never do that but it is good to know that I could

We just got back from a three day trip and it was a little bit of a challenge. The older birds were easy, we just used double the waterers and theirs stay fairly clean. Our 6 week olds thankfully have been using nipple waterers! And the babies use nipple waterers some and we elevated the chick waterers they also use slightly and theirs was the cleanest when we got home. We filled their feeders as usual and that worked fine.
I was nervous over them but when we leave I set everyone up as if we were going to be gone a week! Friday morning to Sunday evening is about the max for me, though. Any longer trips and we will be asking our neighbor's son if he'd like to earn some cash :) They keep chickens and he's a great kid, thankfully. Hopefully you can find someone like that later, but for this trip you should do alright.
It depends on their ages and what systems you're using. If my middle age ones hadn't been on the nipple waterers we couldn't have left them more than a day.
