Going out of town 3-4 week old chicks

Going out town for the weekend in April. Our chicks will be 2-3 weeks old at the time. They will probably be unsupervised for 40 hours. I may be able to get a relative to chec on them at least once.

Are they under a heat lamp? How long before you leave. I'd suggest (strongly) going over the the Mama Heating Pad thread and if you have time to do it, consider setting them up with that. Other than that, and food, water, shelter, security, and a little luck on their side, should be good. Hope it goes well, your trip and the chickies
