We are currently looking to buy some non bearded bantam silky chicks. They are a nice size and are so fluffy to see.
We don't have chickens yet, but the setup foor little fluffballs is already set.
In the future we might want to buy some bigger chickens to, so we can lat the roam in the garden to help pest cotrolle in the vegetable garden.
I found the forum when i was looking for information about silkies.
I love animals, we have two dogs and tree rats at the moment. I love to work in our vegetable garden, i like to cook and bake. I do a lot of arts and crafts and i read a lot.
I have a ten year old daughter, she has a jack russell pup she trained herself, she is called Koe and has just turned one. I 'm not able to work (disabled), so I'm home a lot. My dog is a german sheperd, she 10 months old and is called Hailey. Our tree rats are 1.5 and are really sweet. We live in holland, so my englisch is a little distorted (yes i mean distorted), i also am dislectic and that doen't help either.
I found BYC looking for information about the care of silkies, I just learnd about BYC, and i joinded because i love the fact that there is so much information in one place and everybody wants to help if you have a question.
