Going to get new knee

I will be having total knee replacement/resurfacing this coming Tuesday, Nov. 8. It will be so nice to get rid of the horrible pain.

I have an excellent surgeon and the hospital I am going to has a dedicated wing for the "joint replacement center". So I'll be in super good hands.

Have a very good friend who will be taking care of all the animals while I'm in hospital.

Of course I am feeling pre-op jitters-nerves, but trying to keep my mind off that.

I hope all goes well and everything is as you would like it to be. Lord knows I feel your pain. I'm not quite to the replacement period .

I have friends that have had it done and they seem to be doing very well,

My mom has had two knee replacements (and two hips...). Don't get discouraged if it takes longer than you think to get totally mobile again, just keep doing what the PT says and you will get there. Oh, and make sure you eat plenty (extra) of protein, you will need it to rebuild muscle.

Sounds like you are going to be good as new! Congratulations!! Just focus on how much better you will feel when it's all said and done.
