Golden Campine help

Welp.

I was researching chicken species when I saw a picture of a pretty hen that resembled one I had.

It was a Golden Campine the picture said. Sure enough I googled Golden Campine and got a bunch of pictures that matched my girl, Ruby.

When I got her as a chick she was being sold as an Icelandic Hen.

Is this a common mistake or what? I live in Iceland btw so it's probably just an accidental mistake but still.

So what? Do Golden Campine's do well in cold weather? Do they have any special requirements? Personalities I should be vary of in the future in case of chicks?

I'm just really hurt by the fact that I was lied to (deliberately or not). So is there anything I should know about Golden Campine's specifically?

I'm going to message the person I got Ruby from and let her know but I probably won't do anything more than that. . .

If you live in Iceland, and you purchased your chicken locally, it should be hardy enough for climate. BTW, I will be getting some Icelandics locally possibly this summer. I only keep pets and want to get a pair of hens. (I always add in pairs, and hens only).

So sorry that happened to you. It's never fun receiving something other than what you ordered. Even if it was a mistake rather than deception, still disappointing regardless.
Looking on the bright side, Campines are great birds to add to your flock! I've only raised one, so I can't say my experience with the breed is thorough, but nonetheless this lone little girl has brought me much joy.
Here in Ohio it can get as low as -20 during the winter months, and so far my Alex has weathered bitter days quite nicely.
Only thing I can think of is this: Campines are known to be talented fliers, therefore if you intend to keep her in confinement, I would suggest high fences. Otherwise I haven't noticed any propensity to bully others, aggression towards young chicks other than the usual pecks to keep everybody in their place, or other issues you might want to be aware of. Great layers, very predator-savvy, and generally quite personable. I don't think you'll be displeased with your Ruby.
