Golden Comet life span?

I have seen alot of numbers thrown around about their life span. I don't care about egg production and if they stop but still live I'm fine with that, I really love my flock and hate to see early deaths. Also my roosters life span, hes a really good rooster, protective of the flock and gentle with the girls, can be a little rude to people other than me who don't take care of them every day.

I believe golden comets are a cross between RIRs and RIWs. As such, there's no reason, given proper management and good nutrition that they can't live for over 10 years.
