I currently have a broody RIR. My comet climbed in her box with her where she is sitting on 2 fertile eggs that I bought, and laid her first egg there! While I am super excited that she is finally laying, how do I get her to lay in the other boxes? They have fake eggs in them. My broody is in a box on the ground in a dog crate. I guess I could close the crate daily after my broody does her drink, poop and eat run.

You'll have to physically make sure that your other birds can not access the broody. I have to ask, why only 2 fertile eggs?
I bought 6. 2 from one person (she only had one layer in the breed I wanted) and 4 from another. The 4 from the other person were all duds. 2 buff orpington and 2 wheaten ameraucana. That person made me wait until day 10 before I could get replacements and at that point I figured the time discrepancy was too great.
