Golden Comets

So, I wasn’t even supposed to get any chicks this year but went to TSC the other day and somehow walked out with 8 although one passed the next day. They were labeled Golden Comet pullets so I did some very quick research. There were some darker colored ones and very very pale yellow ones all in the same bin. If my “middle of the isle, quick google search” was correct, the darker ones are pullets. I specifically told the girl working that I wanted the darker ones. Am I correct that these are pullets and no Roos?

I'm not sure if it's the lighting in the picture but I feel like some of those are colored as males.

All pullets. Cockerels would have solid yellow chick fluff.

thank you! The light colored ones in the same bin were a shade or two lighter than a duckling. I figured those were the cockerels although the bin was labeled pullets.

I would say it's a pretty safe bet they are all hens. From what I understand the males dont have the striping.
