golden lace cochin question

i just purchased 3 golden laced cochin pullet day old chicks..standard size not bantams... i did not know this coloring pattern came in standard size until yesterday. if i am unable to find a rooster for them this year, what color cochin is best to keep pattern going in this breed ? also does anyone know how this pattern was achieved originally ? what breed (s) were used ? thanks.

Partridge produces similar colors, but...where are you located (state)?

not sure of partridge color lacing is the same, is it ? i do have the partridge...other then these chicks do not have the golden laced cochins to actually compare pattern....

We do have a couple of BYC members on our Breeder's Directory (see link in my sig) that have LF Golden Laced. Hope you can find a roo for your pullets!
