Golden lace Wyandotte hen or roo?

Big Bird was born in mid Feb, and I am looking for some advice on gender.

I think it may be a rooster. Mine had less color on his back than the hens when it was little.

I'd guess hen. Wattles are too small for a cockerel.



These were about the same age as yours. SLW is a rooster, GLW hen.

I too think it is a pullet...the pattern looks nice and even, and while there is more flesh to that comb than I'd prefer, profile shots and color indicate pullet.

I am not a well trained chicken hand, Last year when I got my chickens I had 5 week old pullets and couldn't tell only one was a roo for a couple months. I noticed his waddle start to grow and he had less gold and more black on his back than the hens. Then he grew in his tail and his neck feathers changed colors to mostly gold.

Looks like a pullet to me but I'm not the best judge on sexing chickens.
