Goldfish, Koi, Pond Thread!

Noticed there wasn't a goldfish, koi, pond fish, chatting thread yet, so I started one.

Post pics, ask questions, share stories.

BEAUTIFUL!! I used to have a Koi pond when I lived in Omro. But then we moved. The fish and pond went with the house. The only thing that came home with us was a bullfrog named Budweiser. (Remember those old Frog commercials? Yah. I was about 5 or 6 and thats what i named a frog...) and then Budweiser (or Bud as i came to call him) went down to the pond at the public fishing grounds. Maybe he's still alive, even though that was 9 years ago...

awww. sucks you couldn't bring the fish.

bullfrogs live for about 15 years or more sometimes, so he may still be there.

I keep mostly tropical fish but I do love koi especially butterfly koi.

Nice fish!
I keep freshwater tropical and coldwater fish and invertebrates. This year I relocated my pond and added butterfly koi to it. Here's a few of my fish.

The pond when it was just moved, new liner. It has more plants and decorations in and around it now.


The first goldfish to go in it. She's 2 years old.


My goldfish fry (the mother is in above pic), one day after hatching. This year, first time hatching fish eggs!

Right now i have a single common goldfish in my 80 gallon aquairum. he did have a buddy but she became inpacted with eggs and died recently so i will be getting a new freind for him soon probably an oranda or another common
heres his pic




i got him as a lil feeder fish and kept him in my 80 gallon iwth just one other fish

Got some new fish now.

3 Shubunkins and 7 Comets all 6 " long.

Here's one of my pond now. Plants and fish have settled in nicely. Still need to get some rocks to go around it.
