Well i made a spot for my hen to lay eggs. If i put a couple white golf balls there would she start to lay?

My turkeys were much smarter than the chickens about me putting fake eggs in the nest. They always picked out the fake ones and tossed them about 4 feet away. The chickens never noticed a difference! I would try putting an egg that looks very similar to a turkey egg in... maybe a big pointy, real chicken egg?

I have fooled them with chicken eggs but you have to beware of the eggs getting crunched by the turkey. They don't seem to hold up as well as the turkey eggs when the hen steps on them. I would get rid of the chicken eggs as soon as you get a couple of turkey eggs in the nest.
