gone from small eggs to x-large and jumbo...and now this?

My hens started laying small and medium eggs. Then about 5 weeks later all of them have been large, extra large and a few jumbos. That has been the norm of late, and yesterday there were 2 medium sizes again...

Does this mean anything?

yes the jumbos are double yokers...but my concern is they have been laying large and x-large and now some have gone back to laying mediums (they are red sex links)

Do not worry about it. Size will fluxuate a bit due to what chickens is eating and how much they are laying. Your med could have been a second egg in under 30 hours. It happens.
