Gonzo killed a frog!

Our white orp roo caught himself a frog and killed it! I took it away from him, but not before he managed to eat the eyes! We really had to chase him hard! He wasn't coming up off that frog! Is this normal for them to catch frogs? I figured there was no possible way he could have ate it..

If you have any pet frogs, you will want to keep them in a safe cage, away from the chickens. Yes perfectly normal. They may move on to lizards and snakes.

we have a pet frog "bully" that roams around the farm....he's as big as a house!!!! the first day we let the chicks out bully desided he wanted to jump in and see what was going on...i've never seen a frog jump so fast to get out of harms way.

No need to take them away. Less food you have to buy!

I let mine eat all the frogs, newts, snakes and mice they can catch. Good protein, less food for me to buy.
They tried to eat a turtle one day but just couldn't get the little booger to turn loose of his shell.
ETA: They'll swallow the frogs just fine, after they ripped them to pieces. You didn't think chickens were sweet little creatures, did ya?

Sure they eat them. They taste like chicken..
