Hi all,

We dove in to backyard flock a little over a year ago and absolutely love our chickens. We decided we wanted to start raising some Standard Bronze turkeys this year. Can any one recommend a good book for a turkey newbie and/or good online resources?

Thanks!

You can get all you need right here on BYC. Turkeys are easy as chickens but need to stay warm and dry longer after hatch and have higher protien needs than chickens. @28-30% feed for about the first 12 weeks and then 20% thereafter. Keep them warm and dry as poults and you will be OK.

Backyard chickens is the absolute best source with many people like Colby, jimsfarmstand and many others willing to share years of experience. If you have a question, do a search research, then ask.
