Moved to Texas and it gets hot here, So what is a good breed that is docile, good in cold and heat, and has great egg production.

I would recommend Australorps. They are extremely hardy in both cold and heat (not surprising since they are commonly raised in Australia's outback which gets very hot in the summer). I have raised Australorps where winter temperatures dropped to 30 F below zero, and where summer temperatures frequently reached 117-118 F (sometimes more) and in both climate extremes they did just fine. In those scorching hot summer temperatures, while my other dual purpose breeds were listless, panting, and holding their wings out away from their bodies, my Australorps were going about their normal business like troopers. In addition, Australorps are very calm and gentle. My children and my granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) made lap pets of them. And they are the best layers of the standard, brown egg laying breeds. Whatever breed you decide to get, good luck with your flock.

P.S. What part of Texas did you move to? My wife and I were both raised in Texas.

You're welcome. My wife and I were raised not too far from where you are (Blue Ridge for her, Greenville for me). When I was in high school, our Greenville Lions football team used to play Tyler every season.

wow that is awesome.
