Good Breeds?

Hello, I'm kind of new to BYC, and I was looking at what breeds to get once I change the law where I live, and build a coop. I was just curious about what breeds to get. Since that's not very specific, I'll tell you what I like in a chicken. That would be:

• Size- I'm not really a fan of standard size birds. I like bantams better because they're better to hold.
• Color- As long as it's not hideous, I'm okay with it.
• Behavior- I don't want mean chickens running all over the place trying to peck people!
• Meat or Egg Quality- I really don't care about this,but I don't want it to lay too much because I'm not trying to run a business.
• Rarity- I don't want a breed of chicken that is practically impossible to get.

Now, preferably, i would like a breed you can get on www.mypetchicken.com, because you can select a gender, but if you know any other hatcheries where you can do that, tell me!! ANY REPLIES WILL HELP!

Bantam Cochins? Many colors available. Ultimately you will need to research what it is that you really want in a chicken. We are cheering you on.
