Well, I've had my lone rooster, Reuben for six months now, and we have become fast friends. Sadly, The one bad habit I can't break him of us bullying my wife. Honestly, and unintentionally, I think she makes it too much fun for him to chase her. So this morning, I am rehoming Reuben, to a friend who has three hens and no rooster. In exchange, I am picking up two, Silver Duckwing OE bantams. The two new bantams are just 12 weeks old, so maybe the hen at least will be better pet material. Coincidentally, 45 years ago I had a bantam rooster named Brewster. He was a Silver, Duckwing OE bantam as well. So I'm pretty excited.

Reuben is a very large barred rock, who came to me initially due to aggression problems.

Missing Rueban already But already loving my new additions. Meet Drako and Cassi. Named for Draco, and Cassiopia the constellations. Pardon the laundry room. Preditor proofing the new accommodations.

Reuben seems to like his new place, I hope he likes his three new hens. I had 0 hens, so it has to be better.
