I have two older hens who I love and two little 6 week old pullets. Our town lets us have two chickens. I have already gotten rid of 10 of the 6 week olds that I hatched out. I was confident that the city would change the law to let us have four, but the other day they informed us that the law had not been changed, so now I have to choose two to get rid of. I have a beautiful speckled sussex, who follows me around, an americana who is flighty, but really sweet and I had wanted to show her, a little white cross bred girl who I helped hatch and who I fell in love with, and a really pretty black pullet with cool markings who is flighty, but is a friend to the cross bred. I don't want to get rid of any of my girls.
