Just thought I would share this video we took at day 11. All nine of our eggs due 3/23 seem perfect!

Thanks! We were pretty excited! Our candling attempt at day 7 was much less clear, because we had a crappy flashlight. So we went to Lowes and got a high powered focusing flashlight by Coast, and it was SO worth it!

What breeds are you hatching?
I have 14 eggs in my homemade incubator. 10 of which may not be developing because of fertility issues (my rooster is a small golden sebright and my hens are production reds, dark brahmas and a black australorp).

The other 4 eggs are bantam golden sebrights and seem to be developing well last I candled them.

It's so hard to wait!

We had 3 Silkie, 3 Cochin, and 3 mixed Silkie/Cochins to start with, but I candled today and one of the Cochins was a quitter. I cracked it open and looks like it quit on day 7. So, down to 8 good eggs! Yes, it is so hard to wait!
