Meyer has a sale on brown egg layer assortment baby chicks on sale thru noon on 8/4 for $1.38 all female, $.87 male or $1.10 straight run if you buy 25-50. The price is even lower if you buy more. I got a brown egg laying assortment last month from them. I received 26 baby pullet chicks and all were very healthy and still doing great. I got at least 5 different breeds in mine but they guarantee at least 3.
