I sold my first hatching eggs this spring. I just got an email from the family who purchased them that said they had right around 70% of the eggs I gave them hatch. I have never incubated and have no idea... Is this a good percentage? Obviously I had nothing to do with the incubation process, but am curious as to what this might mean for fertility rates, especially if I sell more hatching eggs down the road.

thats a great hatching rate for shipped eggs-typically if folks get 50% or more they are lucky! I hear horror stories and had my own horror stories of spending alot or a little on eggs and got nothing:(

They weren't shipped (not sure I'd have the guts for that), but were picked up. I had listed on c-list for eggs to eat and kept getting responses about wanting hatching eggs so read up a bit, stored them in my canning room and tried to remember to turn twice a day. All new to me!
